Oh No
Hi. My mom, my life, by best friend was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. I can't stop crying and I am terrified. My first instinct is to stop everything and be with here to help her. I have a family with young children. I just started a new career and am currently going through intensive training. Attendance is mandatory. My mom starts chemo on Monday. She does not want me there because it is very important to her that I continue with my career and training. I am at a loss. I don't know what to expect. I don't want to bombard her with questions. I know (I think) that Stage 4 has meant it has spread, but she did not mention that last night when she told me and my two older brothers. I need and I want to take care of her. Especially at the end. I can't stop crying or thinking about the end or the pain she will experience. I have a tremendous amount of support from my family and my mom's friends, but I need more. Please help. I am terrified and heartbroken and everything else you can imagine. Thank you, Jolie
