    Procedure or Surgery

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 esophageal Cancer on September 8, 2011. Following 9 weeks of chemotherapy, I underwent a esophagectomy on January 19, 2012. I was in the hospital for 11 days. Upon leaving the hospital, my weight was 274. My weight is now 250 and my Dr.'s appear concerned as I am about to begin a second round of chemotherapy and I think the worry is about my weight loss, even though I tolerated the first round very well. I am having trouble filling my diet with the necessary 2,300 calories a day, and don't have much of an appetite.
