    Oh No

On Friday, March 16, 2012, my mom was diagnosed with bone cancer. For ten years she has been in remission from breast cancer. Getting this news was devastating, and I now feel lost. We went to the doctors on Monday for tests and areas that lit up in her bones were her spine, hips, pelvis, upper left leg, upper right arm, and parts of her skull. It is not primary bone cancer, instead secondary. We are waiting on a call to schedule a bone biopsy to hopefully find the primary cancer site. I haven't slept in days, and am trying to stay strong for my mom, but am barely hanging on. My mother on the other hand is so strong...or appears to be. Her pain is being managed right now by oxycodone and morphine tablets. I just feel so loss and like my world is spinning out of control. My mother also takes care of her boyfriend who is paralyzed and very depended on her for his car. This frustrates me because he was not so dependent on her before they met, and I feel like a lot of the focus is still on him! I just want to focus on her care! I'm so angry! I don't know what to do, and although we've battled cancer before I don't know what to expect this time and I'm terrified. I'm only 29 and don't want to be without my mom, and my son adores her!
