    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

Surgery to place a feeding tube. Surgery was not done properly by the surgeon. I was in the emergency room twice within a week and admitted to have a new feeding tube replace because the initial feeding tube failed. I spent a week in the hospital.

    External radiation

    Radiation

35 treatments of radiation that took approx. 18 minutes with 16 shots of radiation each session for 8 weeks because I was ill several days when dealing with concurrent chemotherapy treatment that made me very ill that I had to miss several radiation treatments. The inside of my throat was burnt raw. Anything I ate tasted like metal. I had to use plastic spoons to try to eat anything. I ate minimal things I could swallow, like jello and mashed potatoes. Most of my nutrician came from my feeding tube that I would use at night to feed with an electric pump by my bedside.

    Painless Experience: Strongly Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Disagree

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I had two treatments of Cistplatin Chemotherapy that made me so sickly. I was given over 8 different nausea medications that didn't help much. I lost near 40lbs during treatment. I was so sick that they would'nt let me have my 3rd treatment of chemotherapy. I spent most of my days in bed and would only get up to go to my radiation treatments. I spent 3 days in the hospital for dehydration. I had to come back to the clinic several occasions to be re-hydrated with IV treatments.

    Easy to Do: Strongly Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Disagree
