    Lumpectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

    Had a lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy 2 lymph nodes and one came back with cancer and also the lumpectomy did not have clear margins. I needed to have more surgery.

    Decision Point

    Decided to have bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction (diep flap) Since my cancer is er and pr positive I don't want to have to keep coming back for more surgeries. I am very upset about having to give up my hrt.

    I'm taking Verzinio twice daily and I get a Faslodex injection along with an infusion that helps with treatment and also strengthens bones.
