    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Lost my hair after the 18th day from when I started R-Chop (4 rounds over 4 months), then cytotoxin for 2 days while hospitalized, then BCNU (extensive chemo) and hospitalized for 31 days. During my stay, I received stem cells that were harvested just before I went in the hospital for the extensive chemo. The solution they use to keep your blood from clotting while they harvest the stem cells was a citric solution and made my sence of smell and taste really nasty... the smell of hot food made me ill, but thanks to anti-nausea meds, I made it. I had my BMT on May 19, 2009. I was clear after that until Feb. of 2012, now I have beginning stages. My first go-round, I was at stage 4E (There is no 5 that I'm aware of). They gave me 6 months with or without chemo, so I took DCA for awhile until the FDA made it impossible for me to get more. I therefore had to go with chemo, and I LIVED!
