    Problem with doctor

    Oh No

While I was going through the whole ordeal of chemotherapy, my doctor who happened to be my aunts good friend decided that I was too much for her to handle professionally as well as emotionally. I was deathly allergic to the main chemo on my protocol and needed to be medicated with benadryl prior to starting the session. Just about everything that you can possibly think of to go wrong did. I don't blame her for not wanting to treat me, i actually respect her for not faking it and killing me in the process. I did switch doctors, and has been cancer free for seven (7) years YAY!!! :)

    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

I remember bits and pieces of going through the process of implanting my port. It was an okay process for me, at the time I was going through a lot emotionally and really was just going with the flow of things. I had actually just delivered my handsome some only just two (2) months ago to the day. I guess you could say I was still on the "high" of being a new mom. I didn't know if I was going or coming. My aunt is a Nurse Practitioner at the hospital I had the procedure, and she made all the medical decisions and arrangements. again, I had just had my son and was I was still in shock, how did I get cancer at 20yrs old is all I could think of. But having my son saved my life, and here we are about to celebrate his 9th b-day in a few weeks.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I can't remember all the drugs that were administered, but I remember the red on in a syringe, Methotrexate (I was allergic to that one), there were others as well but can't remember them. there were a lot of counter medications as well to aid with the side effects as well as boost my immune system.
