Decision Point
Going chemo or alternative medicine
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
First, small surgery to implant a port-a- cat for chemos. Four rounds of strong chemo to reduce tumor size. It worked, but....
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
Two more rounds of taxol, in combination with radiation to stop cancer that spread to the skin. More side effects.
Low white blood cell counts (neutropenia)
Side Effects
and more........ can't get only one. But, low white blood cell put me in ER and extra vaccine treatment. Extra: constipation, anxiety, fatigue, hair loss, early menopause, infertility, mouth dryness, nausea, mood changes, rash, rectal fistula, skin changes, shortness of breath (for three days right after chemo), lost of appetite, senses got strong, sexual side effects.
External radiation
Radiation
25 rounds of radiation, because cancer spread to skin and surgery can't be done.
Mastectomy
Procedure or Surgery
pain-less but lot of fear to surgery, fear to "next day" after mastectomy, well recovery.
External radiation
Radiation
Five more rounds of radiation after surgery. Little skin burn.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
One of two rounds of chemo and put in ER with neurophaty in both legs. Pain killer..morphin!! Second round suspended.
Nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy)
Side Effects
Strong pain, had to use morphin as pain killer. Was the result of combination between chemo and herceptin.
Cancer is back/Recurred
Oh No
What???? after all that treatment???? Are you kidding me???!!!! yes, back in skin :/ same side right next to the mastectomy scar.
Surgery
Procedure or Surgery
It didn't go as expected, because surgeon had to do drastic procedure with the help of a plastic surgeon to keep cancer out once and for all. Big scar.
Targeted therapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
After recurrence and surgery, Iam lucky didn't have to do more chemo according to surgery results, and back to continue with Herceptin-Trastuzumab, had to complete a year. I feel like already complete it, but no...with all the obstacles still have four!! more rounds to go......... uffffff, got tired bringing all that back.
