    Oh No

I had a mammogram in Sept. 2011 and had a lump in upper right breast which concerned me. I thought this lump was just hard muscle tissue from carrying a heavy work bag. I had follow-up mammogram March 12, 2012 and was told you need 2 biopsies. March 15, 2012 had three biopsies. 2 biopsies cancer 1 benign. April 3, 2012 had MRI on both breasts to decide lumpectomy or mastectomy. Results 2 smaller additional lumps found in right breast and 2 lumps in left breast. April 17, 2012 sonogram of 2 lumps in left breast look benign. Surgery date May 4, 2012 for lumpectomy on right breast, but could turn into a mastectomy if not enough healthy tissue found. I have strong faith in Jesus Christ to get me through this life changing experience. I am thankful to have the support of my family, church family, co-workers, and friends. I would like to gain new friends that are currently sharing my experience or surviors of my experience? I think I will need radiation and chemo. The Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. is a great facility with caring and supportive doctors, nurses, technicians, and other staff.

    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

Had a Bard powerport implanted on May 30, 2012. It went well, I only had a little itching around the site was fixed with antibotic cream. I have to remember to keep my head above my heart. Stoop to type my shoes or the blood rushes back in forth and you feel pressure in your chest. I had a sore throat the weekend maybe too much air conditioning. I feel fine have two appointments on June 6th and start chemo June 8th. A childhood church friend has volunteered to go to chemo with me, because her 14 yr. old daughter had chemo for lupus. God Bless her. Thanks everyone for your support. Have a Great Day.

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I am at my first chemo session. I have had my blood drawn and I am currently receiving fluids. I have a fruit smoothie with me for my chemo drugs TAC - taxotere, Adriamycin (red devil), and cyclophosphamide. I feel fine so far but I will post again later once they start pushing the chemo. Have a great day every body.
