    Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)

    Procedure or Surgery

My husband problem at first was constipation. He took laxative to help and enema which turned into severe cramps and diarrhea. We rushed him to the hospital. A Ct was performed and a blockage was found and a colonoscopy was order. They found cancer and removed one tumor. During the CT exam they found two tumor on his lungs. One on the right and the other one on the left. Biopsy was done on the one on the right and it was colon cancer. He still hasn't had surgery on the lung tumors. Now colon cancer has been found on his liver. He was diagnosed Stage 4 T3NoMX.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My husband took 6 sessions of Oxaliplatin and 5-Fu, 4 session of Avastin. He has metal mouth and neoropathy in his hand and legs. He is fatigue most of the time. We are currently taking a break and checking out liver surgery and then more chemo. He absolutely hates Oxaliplatin says he will never take it again.
