    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I am a wife, mother of two beautiful boys 4 years and 19 months, and an oncology RN. Hearing the words "you have breast cancer", was a completed and total shock. I am usually the one treating the disease, not the one being treated. After the initial shock wore off, I chose to be very open with family and friends regaurding my diagnosis and treatment. I am so very lucky to have such a wonderful support system.

    Decision Point

Unfortunately, the surgeon was unable to get clear margins. After much consideration, decided to have double mastectomy with immediate reconstructive surgery. Awaiting surgery at this time.
