    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I received a phone call on Tuesday April 3, 2012 from my Mother. I will never forget how the conversation went and how my heart was broken. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and now her (our) journey begins....

    Decision Point

My Mom called me last night to tell me that she has decided to get a lumpectomy. We/I are trying to remain positive because as of right now, all evidence points to non invasive. I hope that after they remove her tumor and put it under the microscope it remains non invasive. I fear that she will have this procedure and it may come back. However, she is confident in her doctors and feels that she is making the right decision and remains (or at least seems) to be positive. Therefore, I must be so too! I am afraid of the unknown and Friday will take forever (that's when we will receive her results).

    Lumpectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

My Mom and Dad are currently on their way to the hospital so she can receive her Lumpectomy. As of right now, surgery is scheduled for Noon. I hope everything goes great! Hoping and praying that after this procedure I can enter in the "Celebration" topic!!!
