    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

every little pain or twinge I was sure that the cancer had spread. The not knowing was the hardest part.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My 1st 4 A/C treatments were the hardest. The next 4 treatments are Taxol.

    Cancer is shrinking

    Celebration

After the first treatment, and every dr visit and the dr said the tumor is definatly shrinking, is just the encouragement to go on.

    Fatigue (tiredness)

    Side Effects

Extreme with the A/C, but not too bad with taxol. You learn to listen to your body and follow along. Must take frequent breaks and rest periods

    Hair loss (alopecia)

    Side Effects

Saves me a ton of money and time. Now my only decision in the morning is which bandana to wear. Still have my eyebrows, but haven't had to shave my legs or arm pits for 2 months now.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

At least this part of my journey. I finished chemo last Thursday. I feel this is a big hurdle, and definaltly cause for celebration. Next will be surgery, then radiation

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

A week ago I had my ovaries removed. Found cysts that didn't go away and didn't look normal. Wanted to make sure they weren't cancer before we continued with the breast surgery. I will find out next week if they were cancer so we can proceed.

    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

In November 2013, scan showed one lousy little lymph node constricting air flow to lower right lung. Same cancer. Started treatment with Xeloda. Month later just wasn't giving good results, so it's back to infusions, carboplatin and gentamicin.
