Increased heart rate, persistent cough, low grade fever

    Symptoms

January 2014-February 2014 struggled with bronchitis-like symptoms. After antibiotics and steroids did nothing to fix the symptoms, we did a chest x-ray, and found a mass in the lungs.

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

Before finding out for sure what the lump in my lungs was, doctors said it had caused the lining of my heart to fill up with fluid and compress the heart, pushing my resting heart rate over 140. In the ER, they did emergency tamponade surgery to drain the fluid they could, and the rest drained out from a tube in my chest over the next week. Took about 1.5 months to recover enough that my heart rate didn't skyrocket from just standing up, and still waiting for the tube hole to heal entirely.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I got my first chemo on 3/6/14 in my right arm (no port yet). It hurt my arm incredibly going in, and we had to slow the deliver rate on the drips to almost nothing to get through it. Two months later, my right arm is still bruised and regularly sore. I spent the next week after chemo #1 struggling with vertigo, dizziness, and passing out anytime I tried to get up.
