    Oh No

Hello, My name is Pam and I live in Panama City Florida. I have just been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of my left breast. I do not want my kids or friends to know...but I am so scared..They know about the cancer but have kept my fear hid from them. I have been to the surgeon it normal to just have them say "well, guess you know its cancer", but not tell me much more.....except I will loose my breast, that is ok with me. It has been a very bad boobie and needs to go.. The pathology report says "invasive well-differentiated ductal carcinoma of breast approximately 1.1 cm in greatest dimension with associated low grade cribriform ductal carcinoma in situ." The orginal Dr. that gave me the news helped my feelings that although it was cancer, the size and it be well-differenated was a good sign. Then why does the Surgeon and everyone in his office look at me with a sad look??? God, if someone would just tell me straight up...
