    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Found out by mistake thanks to MRI looking for kidney stones. Lymph node biopsy and bone marrow biopsy confirmed Stage IV a FNHL. Now on Watch and Wait as I show little symptoms. So far the extreme fatigue is terrible.

    Lymph node biopsy

    Procedure or Surgery

I had to have a needle biopsy through my back to get to the lymph nodes that were found on my scans. I had a great radiology team and they made this no big deal. Anyone that has had this can tell you it takes some time as they have to insert the needle then do a scan and repeat as needed.

    bone marrow biopsy

    Procedure or Surgery

I have to say I have a fairly high pain tolerance but that felt like someone poured scalding hot water into my hip and legs! I have a very physical job and was told by my doctor that I would need to take a day off afterwords but two was more like it. Found out cancer was in my marrow.

    Decision Point

Was told that at this point because I have no major symptoms that Watch and Wait were my better options as the Chemo (R Chop) will make me sick. I can continue to work at this point and still feel fine other than extreme fatigue. I'm not looking forward to Chemo but I'll deal with that when it comes.
