    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Two years ago started 2000mg of Xeloda in am/pm for a total of 4000mg for 7 days on and 7 days off. Skin thickened. Trouble with hang nails and skin peeling around nail bed. Some tummy troubles but had zofran if needed and some diarrhea but not bad. Continued to work as first grade teacher. Some fatigue but not bad.

    Oncologist suddenly left practice

    Decision Point

I've been seeing same doc for almost ten years. Do I stay with practice or try to find someone with the same expertise she had?

    Thoracentesis

    Procedure or Surgery

Difficulty breathing and shortness of breath. Found a pleural effusion and drained 1.5 liters of fluid off of left lung. Have to decide if I want a permanent drain inserted so I can do it myself at home or have it drained as needed. Hopefully chemo will stop fluid from reaccumulating..
