Found a lump that does not feel like a cyst

    Oh No

First wanted to not believe it but within a month it was 2 inches long and then developed an indent. Dr the next day and tests immediately.

To keep the boobies or not

    Decision Point

If I had known then that my sister would develop breast cancer within a year of me, I probably would have just had both removed. Instead went with a lumpectomy because I did not want to have to go through more surgery to get new boobs.

    External radiation

    Radiation

After a couple of months of walking around with no top on around a rotating team of radiation people, I started having dreams of walking around in public with no shirt on and telling people, "Don't worry. Everyone's seen my boobies."

    Lymphedema physical therapy

    Other Care

I try to stay on top of the lymphedema with sleeves and massage but occasionally need to go back in. Thank goodness for LympheDivas and their cute sleeves.

    Job

    Loss

After 2 years of trying to get back up to speed and work. I became sick enough with post chemo brain fog and fatigue to quit and apply for disability. Two years later, it came through. A lot of therapy to help with the depression and sense of worthlessness. I am still trying new treatments to help and searching for doctors that can help.

    To be happy

    Decision Point

I had cancer that had moved to my lymph nodes and yet I am currently cancer free. I may not be able to work, yet, but will continue to try new treatments. I am VERY blessed with my family, my friends, and the life I have.
