    Elbow release

    Procedure or Surgery

Elbow release after many physical therapies for elbow, knee, and shoulder problems. Many times I asked, "why does the other (elbow, knee, shoulder) always start hurting around the same time?"

Get some answers about why this keeps happening.

    Decision Point

Went to my PCP. He tried to give me meds for depression. Went back to an old PCP with questions about fibromyalgia. She suggested a test for the rheumatoid factor.

    Rheumatoid Factor Test

    Procedure or Surgery

I have the rheumatoid factor. I have palindromic rheumatoid arthritis (comes and goes) which after several years turns into regular rheumatoid arthritis. Yay, an answer and now I can start dealing with this!

    Remicade (infliximab)

    Drug Therapy or Medication

After many years of trying a new drug and using it until it would quit working, (I love/hate prednisone!) I was put on remicade. I went into what felt like remission while on remicade. No symptoms except the already deteriorated knees.

    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Loved remicade right up til I was diagnosed with breast cancer that was growing VERY fast due to my lowered immune system. Pay attention to the small print on all medications.

Chemotherapy, radiation and rheumatoid arthritis don't play well together.

    Oh No

Have post chemo exreme fatigue and brain fog. Oncologist feels it is a rheumatoid arthritis issue, rheumatologist feels it is a post chemo issue.
