    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in November of 2011. The tumor is the size of an orange and has been growing for at least 15 years! There were no signs, no pain or swelling. I went to naturapath doctor because I was feeling really tired. He found the cancer when he ran a full range of blood labs. The hospital where I live told me they could not treat the type of cancer I have. So I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhatten.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I have a Hepatic Artery Infusion Pump implanted in my abdomen. It pumps chemo directly to my liver so there are no side effects. Unfortunately the cancer has metastasized and is now in some lymp nodes right outside the liver. So currently I am being treated with systemic chemo. My primary oncologist is at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhatten. I have another ocologist here in Vermont that works with MSK administering my chemo.

    Easy to Do: Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree
