    Lost loved one

    Loss

Shortly after I went through two surgeries and finished radiation my beloved husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. Just nine months after his diagnosis he was gone. He was here every step of the way with me and held my hand and I did the same for him. It was a terrible time in my life to lose him after 25 yrs. I still have good days and bad.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

I finished my treatments both two surgeries and radiation. Then I went on Femara for five years. Two years ago they switched me to Tamoxifen. At this point I simply go for a check-up once a year and a mammogram. The only "side effect" I am suffering from is I have developed bilateral peripheral neuropathy in feet and legs. Another patient told me that once she got off the Tamoxifen it seemed to sort of fade away. Don't know if that will be my case or not. Guess I will be on Tamoxifen for another three years???? Not sure how long I have to be on the Tamoxifen but it sure beats having cancer.
