    Something is wrong

    Oh No

    Had pain before, schudled going to GI, in meantime, rectal bleeding, that pushed up the colonscopy....Report was 2 sissle polyps besides several removed, tubular adnomas.....with on in the rectum showing some slightly "unusual" growth patterns. Refered to major med center for EMR

    Hospitalization

    Had colonscopy, EMR and EUS at regional hospital that is also nci cancer center. 7 more polyps found that was not seen by first GI. One at illium valve, not removable via EMR. Several other polys removed via EMR, but due to size of some polys (inch accross), right hemicolonectmy suggested, to be done at the nci cc hospital. only problem, over 200 miles away, and having transportation issues

    Besides battling colon issues, also diabetic, have some cardic issues, and discovered in the last month, does not have sleep apena but desats at night, so now uses oxygen while sleeping. Also overweight. plus age, can make surgery "interesting"

    Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)

    Right hemicolonomy, was able to do laparoscopy, alot of soreness and pain. No pathology yet. 500 mile round trip is for the birds. The locals are not well Thought of at the cancer center.
