    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I started using a drug called Gattex which is used for SBS. The results have been amazing. I was emptying my bag a dozen times in 24 hours and basically had liquid diarrhea since 2011 and now my stools are back to normal emptying 2-3 times in 24 hours! They are the same consistency as before my anal cancer. I also started using a product called Enterade which is helping with digestion and absorption. Enterade also has an oral hydration powder that increases the absorption of liquids 3 fold. I only wish I would have known about these products years ago. Gattex is new and can be hard to get insurance to pay but there are options so talk to a GI that works with Short bowel syndrome. I am also feeling better everyday now that the Gattex is enabling much better nutritional absorption. The above products are designed for people on chemo but can really help other conditions like IBS etc.
