    Abdominal hysterectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

Turned out the cancer was further along so hysterectomy was aborted and coded as an explorative surgery with lymphectomy and cystoscopy.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Some days were more difficult than others but the main impact was the time and inconvenience. I had some bad days and some not so bad days.

    Radiation and chemotherapy together

    Radiation

Not sure if it was the chemo, the radiation, or both but I ended up having 3 blood transfusions and spending three days in hospital. I felt weak and tired. Thank god for my family and my doctor. She was an angel. The nurses at the clinic couldn't have been nicer and that goes for the radiation techs as well.

    Internal radiation (Brachytherapy)

    Radiation

This was hard. Three weeks of fasting and prepping to lay on my back and be still for several hours was hard but at least the chemotherapy was done.

Anemia (low red blood cell counts)

    Side Effects

I suffered from anemia...confusion sometimes. I still forget things that I never used to forget. I feel weaker than I did before and definitely more tired. But that gets better and better. I'm taking vitamins and iron supplements and I'm sure I'll be 100% soon enough.
