    Decision Point

Had a swelling in my neck, lymphnode area. Didn't get too concerned about it since I had a nasty sinus infection recently. The swelling didn't go down and appeared to get bigger, something wrong! Went to family doctor and the test began, by the way, they did a wonderful job. Always hear horror stories about the docs, they did a good job this time.

    Surgery

    Oh No

Was referred to ENT, was placed on 10 day antibodies to see if I had an infection. after the 10 days the swelling was still there, decided it was surgery time since I smoked and we didn't know why I was swelling.

    Diagnosed

    Oh No

May 23, 2012, I learn that the mass removed was cancer, they called it mestasis, I had no idea what that was at the time. Doc stated he believed it was associated to tobacco use.

    bleeding

    Oh No

I awoke at about 130 in the morning on June 14, something was wrong. I could not seem to get my bearings. I noticed my throat felt odd, went to the restroom and while i was in there I noticed a strange feeling in my throat and sinus area. I was spitting out a fluid and it wasn' stopping. I turned on the light and realize I am covered in blood and am bleeding like crazy. I wake up my wife and we make a mad dash to the ER. I got really tired and cold on that ride, I know loss of blood contributed to my confusion as to what was happening when i awoke.
