    Procedure or Surgery

Full vertical scar on my abdomen, difficult recovery because of the abdominal muscles being cut. The large tumor ruptured, and burst open all over my organs spreading cancer cells into my blood. Both ovaries were diseased.

Expanded Access Clinical Trial for Merck

    Clinical Trial

It was for Keytruda, before it was FDA approved for people like me that would not usually be eligible. It was a good experience, they came to my doctor's office to ask me questions and collect data about my side effects. I stayed on the drug when it was FDA approved, and transitioned from Clinical Trial to my insurance, and they helped me get financial assistance as well.

    Immunotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Keytruda/Opdivo for 2 years. I stayed on Keytruda for about 9 months, then switched to Opdivo because I was fainting when they would try to administer it. My body wasn't tolerating it, so we switched to Opdivo. Many side effects including strong joint pain which lead me to stop. Very positive response in that the cancer has not yet returned!
