    My daughter was diagnosed with diabetes when she turned 16 years old. She was a sophomore in high school. Her name is Amy.

    Excess thirst

    Symptoms

    She was always thirsty. Constantly needing water.

    Fatigue

    She was also very tired all the time. Found it hard to stay awake.

    She was always running to the bathroom to pee.

    Symptoms

    She was also always hungry. She would eat big meals, and still keep eating all day long and that would go on until she went to bed at night. On her birthday she sat down and ate her whole birthday cake.

    With everything she would eat and drink she was rapidly losing weight.

    Humalog Mix 75 / 25 (insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine)

    Drug Therapy or Medication

    She was put on insulin and taught how to do her shots, and check her sugars while in the hospital.
