    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Well, Jan-Feb 2012, I went thru 2 rounds of external & 2 weekend hospital stay doses of internal radiation along with low-dose Cisplatin (chemo) thru the whole process. Side effects for the radiation were bloating, gaseous, uncomfortable, painful, annoying, tired, fatigue, achey, etc.... The second round of external radiation was the worst. It was upper stomach...created more gastro-intestinal issues! That, to Me, was the worst part!! More often than not, after each 15/20 min session, I would have bouts of sickness for a little while. The chemo just made me feel not right in my skin. If I missed or forgot about the support meds, which were anti-nausea, fluids and anti-gas, then the World was going to End! But for the most part, it wasn't too bad. My doctor also, when this started, also ordered Caris Testing on my mass. That is bio-marker testing which helps them figure out which chemo drug would work on the type of cancer that I have.
