Stent put in my esophagus so I could eat. Very painful and still haven't been eating solid foods after 4 months!

    Procedure or Surgery

Hadn't been able to eat due the tumor being at the bottom of the esophagus right inside the stomach. The stent was to open the esophagus so I could eat and be nourished enough for the chemo and radiation I was going to have to go through. It was and still is causing pain in my chest due to food sitting and waiting to go down.

    Went as Expected: Neutral/NA
    Minimal Recovery: Strongly Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Disagree

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

First three weeks it went very well then it started to catch up and I became nauseous and my hair started thinning. Recommend taking the nausea medication no matter what. I had 5 weeks of chemo.

    Radiation

This was the easiest part although it may have played a big part in my pain and nausea after all the atments were over.
