    Robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

The ureter was nicked during prostate removal and not discovered for 12 days. It was so badly damaged that stents could not fix it and 3 months later the ureter had to be reimplanted into the bladder. For more than a year afterwards stents were used to keep the left passage open and the bladder spasms were so severe that the stents were discontinued.
