    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My mom takes Temodar in pill form. She takes it 5 days a month with IV Avastin every 2 weeks. For the most part, she does really well with both. Sometimes she experiences sensitivity at her port when she goes in for the Avastin but no real adverse effects from either drug so far.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

Mom has finished her year of Temodar! She will continue to receive the Avastin every two weeks, as she tolerates this treatment very well with minimal to no side effects. The chemo was definitely tougher on her and we are very happy to have finished it!

    Cancer is back/Recurred

    Oh No

Mom had an MRI last week and we went in for the results today. Her tumor is growing back, and our cancer center cannot do anything more for her. She is being referred to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.
