    Oh No

Hi--I,fortunately, had pneumonia in Feb., 2012 and when antibiotics didn't help, a chest x-ray was done which showed a small spot. My pulmonary doctor followed this and in May a CT scan was done. My Dr.: "it looks like cancer." Oh, no!!! I've often wondered how it must feel to hear these words said. Now, I know--I felt empty and disbelieving. I had been a smoker but had quit 3 yrs. ago. The follow up seemed so slow to me. I wanted the doctors to jump on some kind of treatment--but that was not to be. My recent brain scan showed a tiny spot. Metastsis? I am headed on 6/26/12 to M.D.Anderson, the well known cancer hospital in Houston. I'm ready to get started. I know that God is in control which is a tremendous comfort. I'd like to talk with others with my diagnosis or other cancer diagnosis.
