    Just Diagnosed

    Oh No

Mine began with a regular mammogram 2/11. So here I am and it's been initially diagnosed at Stage 2a invasive lobular carcinoma and mastectomy is scheduled for Thursday 3/7. Had genetics testing, MRI and I'm worried. Actually scared to death. My surgeon is phenomenal and I've put all faith in her diagnosis.

    Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

The drain port exit is painful after a week. I was told 7-10 days and it;s still draining so the decision was made to wait the full 10 days. Otherwise a needle would have to be used for the draining. Iodine swabs are recommended for redness and pain.
