    Just Diagnosed

    Oh No

Cannot say being told I had cancer cell in lung fluid removed as a surprise. I somehow knew I had cancer. The oncologist I saw after my hospital stay said stage IV. It is not curable but treatable. Surgeon saying would not recommend surgery because of health deterioration from chemo, plus couldn't remove all the tumors. 2nd hospital stay about 4 weeks later from dehydration found 6 blood clots in my leg upper inside together in a row. Had the filter put in and a colonoscopy and upper scope. I we a mess would not walkwell. Had to get a walker. I think that was the on no.

    Bone strengthening drugs

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I was out on anxiety medicine because of chemo treatment and deterioration of my health. The port surgery was first and put in during second hospital stay. Forgot that til now. The fear of the treatment makes it difficult. Then the time waiting as bag after bag is placed as they drain into your body and finish. Four hours. The side effects were awful!!! Constant minute after minute of vomiting. Not knowing a bowel movement is coming g and when you know it is and you stand up and it just runs down your legs. Then your family has to clean it and you and help you to, on ,and off the toilet and back again because you do not have the strength to even get upset alone walk by yourself. Doctor or chemo nurse should advise a need to get depends or similar product store start in chemo. To be quite honest I did not think I would live til Christmas let alone the end of the year. Since everything was exasperated because I Could not eat or drink anything. I developed fluid on the stomach cavity which complicated everythinv.

    Allergic reaction

    Side Effects

Actually there were several. The allergic reaction to one of the drugs in the chemo cocktail was the last. There is damage to one of both kidneys. I have developed anemia, hemoglobin and red blood cells are always low as well as platelets. The book thinner shots are gearing up my stomach and starting to cause excruciating pain. Had to get blood transfusions that took 6 hours because the fluid the cancer put in lungs caused a strain on heart now going me early congestive heart failure. Switched from transfusions to shots every 2 weeks. I was beginning to look like a pin cushion especially with lab work every week.

    Surgery or what

    Decision Point

Turns out the surgery is not a viable option. Because of blood clots six in one location the surgery is considered very high risk. Can only get maybe 50% of some of the tumors. One is in position where May not even try. Option is since health better now that I just go forward. Anticipate the cancer causing problems again by end of year which means trying to find a chemo I do not have sensitivity to and starting chemo again. See no other options.
