    Oh No

How could someone as healthy as I have been all of my life end up with multiple forms of cancer.

Surgery through the anus to remove tumor

    Procedure or Surgery

I was grateful the doctor was able to save the rectum, but the healing was long and slow and painful especially once the chemo and radiation treatment started. I still suffer from incontinence often.

    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Disagree

    Chemotherapy and radiation combined

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

The combination of chemo and radiation just after surgery was very difficult to deal with. It's such a very sensitive area in the pain was it x unbearable.

    Radiation and chemotherapy together

    Chemo brain

    Side Effects

I was an extremely detailed oriented individual prior to treatment and haven't been able to regain much clarity since the treatment. Now that I'm four plus years out it seems to be getting worse.

    Fatigue (tiredness)

    Side Effects

the fatigue is ridiculous. And it's difficult to know if it's still fatigue caused by the long-term side effects of chemo and radiation or if it's fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue. But what's most difficult is trying to find a doctor that can help you resolve this issue. It prevents me from functioning normally let alone trying to keep full-time job.
