They removed 25% of my stomach and part of my small intestine. Then they re-routed the small intestine into a different part of my stomach.

    Procedure or Surgery

Removed 25% of my stomach and part of my small intestine, and the reconnected my small intestine into my stomach at a different location.

For the short period of chemo for 2 weeks I had red hand/red feet. I am still paying for red feet with severe sores.

    Side Effects

Low blood sugar...nerve damage. Red hands / red feet. My hands were red on the inside, and extremely sore to the point where I could hardly pick up a utensil to eat with. The skin on my palms eventually peeled away to make room for new skin. My feet were red, but not nearly as bad as my hands. I had a gross looking big toe on both feet. Skin peeled a way, but more so on the left foot. The skin/sore on the big toe on right foot healed rather quickly. I couldn't say the same for the big toe on the left foot. As it finally started healing I developed a gross looking sore on the bottom of my left foot just under the little toe.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I did 2 weeks of chemo, (pills), and quit. The strongest side effect I had was red hand/red feet. I had the same side effect 19+ years ago when I had pancreatic cancer. If I ever get cancer again I will not do any type of treatment chemo or radiation. Never again!!!
