    Just Diagnosed

    Oh No

Shocked to say the least! I was thrown for a loop when my Oncologist said it was stage IV b. Currently being treated for lung cancer with immunotherapy, with CT scans EVERY 90 days. A 4 year survivor of stage IV b lung cancer in June 0f 2015. That cancer was at a stage III before the breast cancer was found.

I was put on a hormone blocker pill the day of diagnosis.

    Decision Point

My Oncologist said the OpDivo that I am currently taking will work on this type of breast cancer that he said is the same type as my lung cancer...adenocarcinoma. I hope this works!

    Swelling (edema)

    Side Effects

My abdominal area is swelling. I have had 3 paracentesis procedures done within 2 weeks. They are painful and last at the most 3-4 days. So I decided I would just live with it...pain and all. I was a size 8-10 and now I need size 20 to 24 pants. So I live in my robe because it is the most comfortable clothing to wear.

Op Divo Immunotherapy that I am still receiving once a month for my lung cancer.

    Other Care

I sure hope this is the right treatment for this type of breast cancer.
