    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I have had 4 rounds of chemo done with agressive drugs I can't remember their names but I do recall that my nurse called the one "red devil". I am now on to my second round of 4 treatments and so far so good. Minimal side effects with this one. Thank god.

    Hair loss (alopecia)

    Side Effects

I already knew that I was going to lose my hair but when it started I have to be honest I was in shock to say the least. I was prepared for this... a friend of mine took me shopping for wigs before I started my chemo... but when the first clump of my hair came out, I put my hair in a ponytail and wouldn't touch it for a day and a half. When I finally got the nerve I took it down and started brushing and WOW I never knew I had that much hair! I called in my best friend and she cut my hair into a bob and I started trying on my wigs. I have to say it was fun and uplifting to have hair that I couldn't have before, I'm continuing trying on new styles just to have fun with it. I love it when I go out and people don't know who I am because of my hair :)
