    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was diagnosed with breast cancer, officially, on April 19, 2012. After multiple tests, it was determined it is NOT in my lymph nodes and is NOT anywhere else!!

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My first chemo was June 14. It was a longer day than I expected (had to wait a while) but I made it through. I didn't have any nausea from the chemo. I had the Neulasta shot the day after. I experienced some bone pain, but it was tolerable with Tylenol.

    Lost loved one

    Loss

Found out a dear friend lost her battle with breast cancer. While I know mine isn't like hers, it's still hard to cope with because we both have breast cancer, period. I know she's in a much better place. I had my meltdown about her and know I will continue to cry for her, but I know she wouldn't want me cry - she would want me to fight. So, I'm fighting for myself and my dear friend!!!

Today was Round 2. It wasn't as bad as Round 1. I also found out my white cell count is high enough that I don't need the Neulasta shot tomorrow - yippee!!!
