    Oh No

began having seizures the day before mother's day in 2008. Went to the hospital and they found a tumor. Was referred to a Neurosurgeon at Vanderbilt Hospital.

Ongoing MRI's to check on Tumor status.

    Other Care

I have to go for Brain MRI's about every 6 months to see if the tumor has come back. So far so good. 4 years and nothing has shown up yet.

    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

Lost my insurance due to outrageous premiums. I was self-pay and my premium cost me over $2,300.00 per month. I could no longer afford to cover it, so I had to drop my BCBS plan. Now I am totally uninsured, and cannot continue my 6 month MRI testing. Feel very discouraged and like there is no help for someone like me.

    Healthcare Reform

    Celebration

President Obama has passed Healthcare Reforms that will entitle me to apply for PCIP program. It is for people who have no insurance and cannot get any insurance company to even look at me due to my pre-existing condition. Looks like that I qualify and am in the process of applying for it.
