    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

I almost forgot about the 'failed' attempt to do the first whipple. About 1 month after my husbands diagnosis, the surgeon attempted to perform the whipple procedure, but came out after only 1 hour. He told me the pancreas was too swollen to do the surgery safely. I was devastated.

my husband had a whipple. it was quite extensive. the results were good, but pancreatic cancer still has a terrible prognosis even with a good surgical outcome.
