    Oh No

Just going in to my GP for my feet and came out with a slip for an ultrasound and bloodwork to be done b/c he found a large lump on my left side of my thyroid.

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

I have 2 small children so this impacted me and my husband's life tremendously. Not only did we have to have one surgery to remove the lump early December, after it was concluded it was cancerous, we had to have another surgery less than 2 months from that point. Treatment was very fast.

    Internal radiation

    Radiation

This also impacted our life, I had to be away from our home and children for 7 days. it was a scheduling nightmare for our children's schedule since my husband worked full time. During radiation I was extremely nauseous throughout and had the metal taste in my mouth for several months afterwards. Very week and out of it.
