    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was having pre-op test for sinus surgery when a golf ball size mass was found in upper left lobe of lung. Another spot was there but had been there for at least 3 years already and thought it was from an injury. It turned out to be cancer, too.

    Lobectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

First I had a biopsy and my lung collapsed. In hosp. for 8 days because of a leak. Then I had the lobectomy at a dif. hosp. Went well but I had a case of A-Fib there which seemed to cause lots of trouble.

    Thinking problems

    Side Effects

After lobectomy I thought I was having trouble with the pain meds, epidural, or something like that. Couldn't figure out how to put on a shirt, no balance, my left hand was grabbing things . . .

    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

While I was waiting to see an oncologist about the LC, Found out I had a baseball size tumor in my right brain. Moved me from stage IIB to IV. Life threatening and had to have surgery right away. Had a Craniotomy 6/20/12.
