    Cancer again - not recurrence

    Oh No

I was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in 1987. I had an extremely difficult year of intense chemotherapy, only to relapse shortly after what was supposed to have been my last treatment. Then, I had a bone marrow transplant - which is one awful transplant. This was an extremely difficult time of my life and I would never, ever wish it upon my anyone, even my worst enemy. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, I was totally devastated because I didn't think I would be emotionally strong enough to have to deal with cancer again. Somehow, by the Grace of God, I made it through the lumpectomy and radiation, and am once again cancer free - 5 years post diagnosis.
