    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

chemo was awful. i always did my treatment on friday an by monday i as really sick. my hair fell out after the first treatment an i was sick about that. it harder to hide a bald head that a chest with no breast. after the fourth treatment they changed drugs an it was worse than the first four. i had to do eight treatments in all. the minute i finished my last treatment my hair began to come back. my hair was dark brown before chem... when it came back in it was completely grey an curly. soo n as it got some length i bought some hair color an fixed it...lol

    External radiation

    Radiation

radiation was a cake walk compared to surgery an chemo. i took twenty eight treatments.. monday thru friday every day til i was done. i was a bit cooked. my right side was worse because the cancer was on that side. there is a permanent tan on that side.

    breast reconstuction

    Other Care

breast reconstruction was a long process. because i had to do radiation they wouldnt do reconstruction until i had healed from all my treatments. i have a wonderful plastic surgeon. first we had to put in expanders to make skin, then they put the implants in. after that they built nipples. and last but not least they tatooed an auriola. sounds like it may have been painful, but there was not to much pain. now i feel somewhat normal. i do have some issues because i know whats on my chest isnt real. i am greatful for all my doctors. they were awesome...
