    Side Effects

Side Affects sore jaw from the medication taken after Chemo, Menopause started early in life from the chemo treatments, nausea from chemo treatments, unable to sleep at night. I decided to shave my head during the second month due to the hair being so sensitive. I had a hard time laying down on a pillow at night.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

My chemo sessions occurred once every three weeks. The week after chemo, needed to take some white cell enhancer medication which caused my jaw to have pain so opening or eating food was very difficult. The lymph nodes in my body were swollen and the cancer was in the abdominal area making it very hard to eat anything. I always felt extremely full just trying to eat a few tablespoons of yogurt or cottage cheese. Menopause started early in my life and the hot flashes and cold flashes are very intense. The nausea from the chemo was not extreme and the pills I took we changed to a different type which helped control the nausea. I didn't like taking the pain pills until the pain was so extreme I couldn't handle it any more.
