External radiation
Radiation
It was sure easier than chemo, but you do sve to go every day for 33 days, weekdays only. The last 2 weeks I dud get a burn, but it healed fairly quickly.
Fatigue (tiredness)
Side Effects
I have never felt SO incredibly fatigued in my life!
Finished treatment
Celebration
Everyone wanted to celebrate, but honestly I was still scared! Shouldn't I be checked more often?
Loss
This person has yet to add any details about this experience.
Awakening
Decision Point
I learned how precious life is. How short it can be. Even though I have side effects, I enjoy every day I am blessed to wake up. I don't waste time on who and what don't matter. It is not material possessions either. I want to create memories that are happy for me and ny loved ones, so I do!
Aromatase Inhibitors
Other Care
I started with Arimidex but had too much pain, nw I am on Aromasin. Still have pain, but it is a bit better. I have Fibromyalgia, so it adds to it for sure. Ugh, but beats having cancer! I also take Zoladex for Osteoporosis.
Lumpectomy
Procedure or Surgery
It actually hurt worse under my arm where the lymph nodes were removed,
I had early colon cancer in 2008 & was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009.
Oh No
I was still reeling from the after effects of having a colon resection when I found out I had breast cancer. Oh no!
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
12 weeks (4 rounds) of cytoxon & taxoterra. Doable but yucky.
