    Side Effects

I am on a three week cycle. Feel pretty "wilted" for a week to ten days after treatment; walking really helps even if it is just a ten-minute walk the first week. Was advised by super exercise specialist at UCSF to take three 1o-minute walks daily the first week, but I'm barely making it for one the first couple of days and then try to add another if I can do it. I am able to take daily half hour walks the second week, and one hour walks the third week. Must get the chemo through your system and then out. Hydrate! Lots of water!

    Other Care

Looking for suggestions...anything work for you? I listen to visualization/chemo/relaxation tapes before going to bed or when I feel especially down because of the cancer and its limitations. They really help. I got them at the UCSF Cancer Resource Center lending library.
