    Oh No

..scared. Had a 3mm round mass in my rt breast on my 2009 routine mammy, but the radiologist reported out "within normal limits". In 2011 the mass doubled in size , still reported the same. 2012 it was the same size but a different radiologist mentioned to my husband ( one of the pathologist at the same hospital) and a biopsy was done. Still small ( 5 mm), it was found to be invasive lobular BC. Planned to have reconstructive surgery done with the double mastectomy . 18 nodes involved. No reconstruction. Oh no! Stage 3C, Er + Per +. Later it was discovered to be Stage 4....bone and liver mets. OH No!!!

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

My tumor was small(5mm) and though they just informed me of it this year, the thing had been there since 2009. But it grew from 3mm to 5 mm last year. They still gave reports of a normal mammy till this year. I choose a double mastectomy as this tends to reoccur bilaterally. When they went in they found the cancer had spread to 16 of the lymph nodes. That was in July. I have had a port put in a couple of weeks ago and now am awaiting chemo. I have read many of the blogs and find most of them very encouraging!

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Was not as bad as I thought it would be. But still disrupted my normal routine.
