    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I was diagnosed with stage IV right from the start. I did 11 treatments of Taxol and the neuropathy was so bad I had to stop.

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I have been on Zometa since Jan. 2010. I have had no side effects, but my ONC will not allow any tooth extractions.

    Hormone therapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I receive Herceptin every 3 weeks via infusion and an abdominal injection of Eligard to keep me in menopause. I also receive Faslodex injections every 4 weeks. The Herceptin makes me feel a little fluish and tired the next day. The Eligard has it's own unique set of personal side effects. Faslodex stays with me. I smell it, taste it, urinate it and sweat it. Especially the first few days after injection. Currently, it has helped keep bone mets stable, but is not helping with the active areas in my breast.

    External radiation

    Radiation

I have had radiation to my spine, my arm and my hip. The T7 was the most difficult as I had to go straight to chemo. It burned my esophagus and I couldn't swallow spit without a shot of lidocaine.

    Pain medicine

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I took vicoprofin for nearly 2 years and it was amazing for bone pain. I only switched to vicodin because I didn't want to damage my stomach. I also took Morphine for a year and a half. I didn't have harsh side effects with either. I did have some shakes when I weaned myself from the Morphine.

    CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine)

    Other Care

I used color therapy, a form of meditation. I also had regular massages to flush my body of toxins.
